This full-time, contract role offers the chance to serve children in Head Start and Early Head Start settings for the full school year. With a primary home base and responsibilities across three area sites, you’ll play a vital part in collaborative, student-centered intervention and parent engagement.
Desired skills and background:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active, valid state SLP license and ASHA CCC (or eligibility)
- Experience in a school-based SLP setting, especially with early childhood populations
- Familiarity with Head Start/Early Head Start guidelines preferred
- Strong collaborative and communication abilities, including working with district IEP teams
- Comfort supporting families and working alongside home visitors as needed
Core responsibilities:
- Deliver speech, language, and communication interventions for children from birth to age five
- Provide services consistent with IEPs and ISPPs; participate in IEP meetings and consult with district staff
- Travel between three designated sites with a home base location
- Support parents and caregivers, providing guidance to help them advocate and foster language at home
- Collaborate with home visitors, assisting families as indicated by service plans
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation, progress reporting, and compliance with program standards
