As an experienced SLP in an educational setting, you'll provide essential services across three nearby sites, with a designated home base for convenience and continuity. Collaborate closely with the district to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), ensuring that each child receives tailored support. You'll also offer guidance to home visitors when a child's ISPP/IEP requires it and support families to empower parents in their pivotal roles.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
- Valid state licensure/certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Previous experience in school-based settings, preferably with birth-to-five populations
- Strong background in IEP development and implementation
- Ability to travel between multiple local sites as needed
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a passion for family-centered practices
- Early Head Start or Head Start experience considered a plus
Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in children ages birth to five
- Work in partnership with district staff, families, and multidisciplinary teams to achieve IEP goals
- Deliver services both in center-based and home settings, as required by each child’s plan
- Support and train parents in strategies to enhance their child’s communication skills
- Serve as a knowledgeable resource to home visitors and other team members
- Maintain detailed records and uphold all documentation and compliance requirements
