This essential role is designed to provide maternity leave coverage from May 29th through June 30th, followed by an assignment for the Extended School Year (ESY). Your skills will help children develop the communication abilities vital for their academic and personal success.
Key Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active state license required for SLP practice in schools
- Previous experience working with Pre-K or early learning populations preferred
- Familiarity with IEP process, progress monitoring, and school-based service delivery
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
- Adaptable, compassionate, and enthusiastic about supporting early learners
Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy to Pre-K students per IEPs and school protocols
- Conduct screenings, evaluations, and assessments as needed
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Track student progress; document services clearly and timely
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to support carryover of skills
- Participate in IEP meetings, team discussions, and professional development as required
- Support continuity of care through clear transition documentation for ESY
Schedule & Assignment Details:
- For core school year (CSY): May 29 - June 30, 8:30am-3:30pm, Monday-Friday, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch
- For ESY: 8:00am-1:00pm, Monday-Thursday
