Pediatric School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist - Passaic, New Jersey
This full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity in Passaic, NJ is ideal for clinicians with experience in pediatric and school-based settings. The position begins May 1, 2026, and runs through June 12, followed by an extended school year program from June 29 to July 30, and resuming again from September 8 to October 20. The role offers a consistent schedule designed to support young learners in a vibrant educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language therapy services to a caseload of approximately 25 students, primarily preschool-aged children (ages 3-8).
- Deliver individualized therapy to meet the needs of students with diverse disabilities, including multiple disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and students in self-contained classrooms.
- Collaborate with educators and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement appropriate communication goals.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of therapy sessions and student progress.
Schedule:
- May 1 to June 12: Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
- Extended School Year (June 29 to July 30): Monday through Thursday, 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM.
- September 8 to October 20: Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
Qualifications:
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology or working toward Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY).
- Experience in pediatric speech therapy within school settings.
- Strong knowledge of best practices for children with multiple disabilities and Autism.
- Ability to manage a caseload independently and collaboratively.
