Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid SLP license and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required
- Experience working in school-based settings, covering a range of age groups from early childhood through teens
- Strong organizational and time management skills to adapt to changes in daily assignments
- Ability to establish rapport with students, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams
- Familiarity with IEP development, progress monitoring, and compliance with IDEA regulations
What You'll Do:
- Provide comprehensive speech and language services onsite, moving between five schools—three elementary, one middle, one high—and Infant and Toddler programs
- Screen, evaluate, and implement direct therapy for students with communication, articulation, language, fluency, or voice disorders
- Develop and update IEPs or IFSPs, ensuring individualized goals are met
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and support staff to foster student success
- Maintain accurate records and conduct ongoing documentation in compliance with school and state policies
- Adapt service delivery models to meet the needs of each school community
This is a 37.5-hour per week itinerant contract assignment, with daily schedules varying: elementary hours run 8:30 AM–3:50 PM, while secondary hours are 7:20 AM–2:40 PM.
