Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Active state license or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in Kansas
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC) or readiness to complete Clinical Fellowship Year (SLP-CFY) during this assignment
- Familiarity or prior experience with school-based therapy (preferred)
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and other service providers
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language services to assigned students
- Conduct screenings and comprehensive evaluations as required
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Document progress, maintain records, and complete necessary reports
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to support each student’s unique needs
- Communicate regularly with educators and families regarding student performance and progress
