As a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) working on a contract basis, you'll help students achieve their communication goals and collaborate closely with educators and families to foster student success.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current or pending Speech-Language Pathologist license in the relevant state
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
- School-based SLP experience preferred, though strong clinical backgrounds will also be considered
- Familiarity with IEP processes, progress monitoring, and relevant documentation
- Skillful use of evaluation tools and therapeutic techniques tailored to school-age children
- Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and screenings to identify speech, language, voice, or fluency disorders
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for students needing SLP services
- Participate in multi-disciplinary teams for IEP meetings and collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents
- Maintain accurate, timely records, including progress notes and evaluation reports
- Provide both direct and consultative SLP services in classroom and pull-out settings
- Adapt therapy techniques to meet diverse student needs and changing classroom settings
- Educate school staff and families about speech and language development and strategies for support
