Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current state licensure (or eligibility) as an SLP
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) is preferred; strong CFY candidates will be considered
- Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting is a plus
- Solid understanding of IEP process, goal writing, and progress monitoring
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for working with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to organize caseload, meet deadlines, and maintain thorough documentation
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate students’ speech, language, and communication abilities using standardized assessment tools
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans based on students’ needs and IEP goals
- Provide direct speech-language services in individual, small group, or classroom settings
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, parents, and other specialists to maximize student success
- Track progress and maintain accurate case notes and documentation in compliance with district and state guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute valuable insights for educational planning
- Promote positive attitudes toward speech therapy and communicate progress to all stakeholders
