Desired Skills and Experience:
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) eligibility
- Experience, training, or strong interest in serving pediatric clients, especially within the school setting
- Proficiency in assessment, diagnosis, and development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Positive, collaborative approach with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Comfortable managing a moderate caseload and adapting to a dynamic school environment
- Prior experience with adolescent populations is especially valued
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech and language therapy services to students, aligning with IEP goals
- Conduct thorough assessments and contribute to evaluations for eligibility and ongoing needs
- Work closely with teachers, support staff, and families to promote student success
- Maintain clear, compliant documentation and progress reporting in accordance with school and state requirements
- Attend IEP meetings and participate in team-based problem solving
- Foster a supportive, inclusive atmosphere that encourages student growth and confidence
