Qualifications and Experience
- Valid Florida SLP licensure issued through the Department of Health
- Experience or strong interest in pediatric and school-based SLP services
- Familiarity with the unique needs of elementary-aged children
- Ability to collaborate effectively with school staff and other SLP professionals
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities
- Provide speech, language, and communication assessments for students in grades PreK–5
- Design and implement individualized treatment plans and therapeutic interventions
- Collaborate with another on-site SLP to share and manage an elementary caseload
- Document progress, maintain accurate records, and communicate regularly with teachers and families
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to IEP development
- Offer consultative support to educational staff regarding students’ speech and language needs
