Located in the Orland Park area, you’ll be working onsite (no virtual placements) as part of a collaborative team. The position splits a caseload of approximately 70 students between two SLPs, with one full-time equivalent and a part-time arrangement, ensuring a manageable and rewarding workload. Get ready for a school-year contract running from mid-August through late May.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active IL PEL and valid Speech Language Pathologist license from the IDFPR
- SLP-CCC certification required
- Previous experience providing SLP services in schools is highly preferred
- Proficiency in supporting early childhood through 8th-grade students with varying communication needs
- ISBE number is mandatory for application consideration
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech, language, and communication assessments for students with diverse needs
- Develop and implement IEPs and therapeutic programs aligned with educational goals
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and allied professionals to optimize student outcomes
- Maintain compliant and accurate records as per district and union guidelines
- Participate actively in multidisciplinary team meetings
