This full-time position begins in mid-August and runs through late May, delivering direct on-site speech-language services in a supportive educational environment located near Cicero, IL. The district’s total caseload of 70 students is divided between two SLPs, with one FTE managing 45 and a .5 FTE supporting 25, allowing for focused, personalized intervention.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active Speech-Language Pathologist license (CCC-SLP)
- Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL)
- Speech Language Pathologist credential from IDFPR
- Valid ISBE number (required for submission)
- Experience in a school setting preferred
- Strong collaborative and communication skills
- Willingness to fully adhere to union policies and school district guidelines
- Committed to on-site service (remote/virtual work is not an option)
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy to a diverse caseload from early childhood through 8th grade
- Assess, diagnose, and develop individualized intervention plans
- Collaborate with other professionals, staff, and families to support student progress
- Maintain timely records in compliance with district and state regulations
- Participate in IEP meetings and team consultations as part of the multidisciplinary team
- Provide direct and consultative services that foster optimal educational outcomes
