In this rewarding position, you’ll primarily work with preschool students, with opportunities to serve children up to 2nd grade. This contract position offers a consistent weekday schedule, working 33.75 hours per week from 8:00 AM to 3:15 PM. Using a caseload model, your expertise will contribute directly to the well-being and development of students during the fall and early winter months.
What You’ll Need:
- Valid Illinois SLP-CCC and Professional Educator License (PEL)
- Experience in pediatric and school-based speech-language pathology
- Teletherapy skills and familiarity with digital platforms (a plus)
- Ability to provide direct therapy, conduct assessments/evaluations, and contribute to IEP development
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
What You’ll Do:
- Deliver direct speech and language therapy tailored to individual student needs
- Complete assessments, analyze results, and participate in IEP meetings
- Partner with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to maximize student outcomes
- Maintain accurate records and document student progress
- Adapt services for both in-person and teletherapy delivery models as needed
