Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist in Cicero, IL
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist supporting students from Pre-Kindergarten through Eighth Grade. Two temporary positions are available to cover leaves from August to November and October to January. What You'll Bring:
- Active Illinois SLP-CCC credential
- Valid Professional Educator License (PEL) for Illinois
- Experience in school-based speech-language pathology (all levels of experience, including Clinical Fellowship Year, welcome)
- Familiarity with caseload management, individualized intervention planning, and record-keeping
- Confidence in conducting speech and language evaluations and assessments
- Expertise in direct therapy for pediatric or school-aged populations
- Strong communication skills for working with children, parents, and school staff
- Experience with teletherapy platforms is a plus
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct therapy services to PreK–8th grade students in a supportive, inclusive environment
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to drive student-centered intervention
- Develop and implement IEPs tailored to each student’s needs
- Maintain accurate records and provide progress updates to families and team members
- Collaborate closely with teachers, support staff, and administrators
- Participate in virtual (Zoom-based) interviews with the possibility of immediate, on-the-spot offers
