Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Cicero, IL
Make a real impact as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist supporting students’ communication and educational progress. This contract opportunity covers a leave of absence from October through January, focusing primarily on preschoolers, with some involvement through 2nd grade. Enjoy a predictable schedule from 8:00 a.m. to 3:15 p.m., totaling 33.75 hours per week, using a caseload model to provide essential speech services.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Illinois SLP-CCC certification required
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL)
- Proven experience in school-based and pediatric settings preferred
- Teletherapy experience or willingness to deliver virtual services
- Expertise in direct therapy, comprehensive assessments, and evaluations
- Strong skills in IEP development and documentation
- Ability to engage young learners and collaborate with educational teams
- Open to Clinical Fellows (CFY) committed to professional growth
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language therapy services to students, primarily ages preschool through 2nd grade
- Conduct screenings, assessments, and evaluations to inform educational decisions
- Collaborate on IEP creation and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings
- Maintain accurate records, progress reports, and communications with families and staff
- Adapt therapy strategies to individual student needs and educational standards
- Utilize both in-person and teletherapy service delivery as needed
