Pediatric School Speech Language Pathologist - Cicero, IL
Make a difference in the lives of children while advancing your career as a School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist on a contract basis. Work with students from Pre-K through Eighth Grade, providing crucial speech and language interventions across two maternity leave coverage periods: August–November and October–January. Your expertise will enable you to deliver direct therapy, conduct assessments and evaluations, and contribute to meaningful IEP development. You’ll partner with teachers and families to help each student thrive.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active Illinois SLP-CCC credential
- Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL)
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- School-based SLP experience (Pre-K to Grade 8 preferred)
- Pediatric and healthcare SLP background a plus
- Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates welcome to apply
- Comfortable providing teletherapy and in-person services
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a diverse caseload of students requiring speech and language services
- Conduct thorough assessments and timely evaluations to inform goals and interventions
- Deliver evidence-based direct therapy to enhance student success
- Develop, update, and implement IEPs in partnership with multidisciplinary teams
- Maintain accurate records in compliance with state and district requirements
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support holistic student growth
