Pediatric School Speech Language Pathologist - Norwich, Vermont

Step into a rewarding opportunity to support elementary students as a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant for the 2026-2027 academic year. This contract position spans September through June, providing dedicated onsite services for a small, manageable caseload of 40 students across Pre-K through 8th grade. Qualifications and Preferred Experience:
- Current SLP assistant licensure or eligibility for licensure
- Experience with pediatric clients, especially in a school environment
- Familiarity with SLP-CCC, SLP-CFY, and healthcare-based SLP interventions
- Strong understanding of the unique needs of Pre-K to 8th-grade students
- Comfortable collaborating with supervising SLPs and multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent communication skills for working with students, staff, and families
- Ability to provide flexible, individualized support in both one-on-one and group settings
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist SLPs in delivering direct therapy sessions to students as outlined in IEPs
- Document progress, support data collection, and help with evaluation activities
- Facilitate classroom-based strategies to enhance communication and participation
- Coordinate with teachers and parents to support student goals
- Prepare materials and implement interventions under SLP supervision
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to school policies and ethical standards
