These contract roles are set in the Virginia Beach area, with one school assigned per assignment. You’ll serve diverse caseloads, focusing on students from Pre-K through fifth grade, depending on the specific assignment. School hours are generally between 7:20 AM to 3:00 PM. Start and end dates vary according to coverage needs and range from late February to mid-June, 2027.
Qualifications and Experience
- Valid and active Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) license in Virginia
- Experience working in a school setting with children from Pre-K through 5th grade preferred
- Ability to manage a varied caseload and deliver services in accordance with IEPs
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills
- Flexibility and adaptability to the school calendar and daily schedule
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive speech-language therapy to assigned students
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with school and state requirements
- Participate in IEP meetings and work in partnership with teachers, support staff, and families
- Utilize evidence-based strategies to support students in reaching their communication goals
- Engage fully in the life of the school community during your assignment
