School-Based Speech Language Pathologist - Newark, New Jersey
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting K-12 students across Newark, Maplewood, and surrounding areas. This full-time, onsite role (32.5 hours/week) is set to begin as soon as possible and will continue through June 2027, with strong potential for renewal into the next school year. Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology
- NJDOE Speech Language Specialist Certificate required
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC)
- Prior experience working with children is preferred
- Ability to engage with students and parents from diverse backgrounds
Primary Responsibilities:
- Manage cases for students eligible for speech-only services throughout the academic year
- Identify, screen, and evaluate students presenting with speech, voice, or language disorders
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations
- Participate collaboratively in Child Study Team meetings
- Provide resources and guidance to parents, empowering them to better understand and support their child’s speech and language services
