Speech Language Pathologist in Jersey City, NJ
Step into an impactful role supporting K-12 students as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) at a recognized school network in the Jersey City, NJ area. This full-time contract opportunity runs onsite from ASAP through June 23, 2027, offering a consistent weekly schedule of 32.5 hours. Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology
- NJDOE Speech Language Specialist Certificate required
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
- Experience providing services to children, preferably in a school setting
- Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
Role Responsibilities:
- Serve as case manager for students who qualify for speech-only services
- Identify, screen, and evaluate students with suspected speech, voice, and language disorders
- Administer comprehensive speech-language evaluations
- Actively participate in Child Study Team (CST) meetings, contributing professional input on student needs and progress
- Provide families with resources and guidance to enhance their understanding of speech and language services
