This unique, in-person contract role is ideal for enthusiastic SLPs eager to make a difference in diverse educational settings, providing coverage for maternity leaves, assisting with high caseloads, and supporting districts where families prefer in-person services over virtual options.
Serving as a "floating" SLP, you’ll have the opportunity to expand your skills by working in a variety of school environments, collaborating closely with students, parents, and educational teams. A vehicle is provided to ensure seamless travel between the participating districts.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred, but strong Clinical Fellows (CFY) will be considered
- Current (or eligibility for) state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Experience with pediatric populations in school-based settings
- Ability to adapt quickly to varying school cultures and caseloads
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
- Passion for working with students with diverse needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language services in multiple schools, both in coverage and long-term support
- Assess, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans for students with speech, language, and communication challenges
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to ensure optimal student growth
- Maintain thorough documentation and comply with all state and district policies
- Contribute to positive student outcomes and school communities across all assigned locations
