School Speech Language Pathologist - New Rochelle, New York

Make a meaningful difference in the lives of K-12 students this summer by providing essential speech-language therapy services during an ESY (Extended School Year) assignment. This contract position is located near New Rochelle, NY and offers the chance to support students’ communication goals while gaining valuable experience in a vibrant school setting.
As a speech-language pathologist in this role, you’ll deliver engaging therapy sessions while collaborating with dedicated educators and families. Your work will directly contribute to each child’s growth and academic progress throughout the summer program.
What We’re Looking For:
- Current license as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in New York State
- Recent school-based experience working with K-12 populations
- Familiarity with IEPs, goal-setting, and progress monitoring
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Commitment to creating an inclusive, supportive learning environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy to K-12 students, individually or in groups
- Assess, monitor, and document progress toward communication goals
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student outcomes
- Maintain accurate and timely records in compliance with legal and district guidelines
- Participate in team meetings related to ESY services and student needs
Position Details:
- Contract assignment: ESY program runs from July 6th - August 14th
- 25 hours per week, primarily within school hours
- Work with a diverse range of students across elementary, middle, and high school levels
