Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid SLP license in Louisiana
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Previous experience working in a school setting, ideally with middle school students
- Exceptional communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Dedication to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment
What you’ll do:
- Assess, diagnose, and provide speech/language therapy to students in grades 5-8
- Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and monitor student progress
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and other educational professionals to implement strategies that enhance student success
- Document and maintain detailed therapy records in compliance with school and state requirements
- Participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary team discussions, and staff development
- Support students’ social-emotional growth and tailor interventions to diverse needs in a middle school setting
