Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Previous experience in a school-based setting preferred
- Licensed (or able to obtain licensure) as a Speech-Language Pathologist for practice in Louisiana
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with students, educators, and families
- Passion for working with middle school-aged students and helping them achieve their goals
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments for students in 5th through 8th grade
- Develop and implement effective, individualized treatment plans to address students’ speech and language needs
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to support student learning and progress
- Document progress, participate in IEP meetings, and maintain accurate records in line with school guidelines
- Provide direct and consultative therapy services within a nurturing, inclusive school environment
