Embark on a rewarding opportunity in the New Orleans area as a Speech-Language Pathologist working within a dynamic school setting! This full-time, on-site contract role allows you to make an impact supporting students as part of a dedicated school-based team.
Starting as soon as possible and extending through the academic year until late May, you'll enjoy predictable school hours—Monday through Friday, 35 hours per week, with a 30-minute lunch break. Assignments and caseloads, encompassing various age groups, will be confirmed upon placement, ensuring you are well supported and matched with an environment where you can truly excel.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.
- Active Louisiana state license (required at the time of application).
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) highly desirable.
- Previous school-based SLP experience preferred but not required.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation abilities.
- Successful completion of district drug screening and fingerprinting (time-sensitive).
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide evidence-based speech and language therapy services to students in assigned schools.
- Conduct assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and track student progress.
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate closely with teachers, families, and other professionals.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with district and legal requirements.
