School Speech Language Pathologist - New Orleans, LA
Elevate your career as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist in the vibrant New Orleans area! This full-time, onsite contract spans the entire 2026-2027 academic year, providing a rewarding opportunity to make a direct impact on students’ communication skills and academic success.
As part of this contract, you’ll work Monday through Friday for 35 hours per week, aligning with the school’s calendar. You’ll be supporting a yet-to-be-determined caseload across various age groups within the district, allowing you to apply your expertise in a dynamic educational setting. Whether you excel with early intervention or have strengths working with elementary or secondary students, your specialized skills will contribute to student growth and learning.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Active state licensure or eligibility for licensure
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Prior school experience and flexibility across age groups a plus
- Successful completion of required credentialing, including drug screening and fingerprints
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations, develop and implement individualized therapy plans
- Deliver direct and consultative speech/language services
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and service teams
- Maintain required documentation and progress reporting
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student success plans
