School-Based SLP | New Orleans, Louisiana

What we’re seeking:
- Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology or Communication Disorders required
- Active state licensure in Louisiana, or eligibility to obtain before start date
- ASHA Certification (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Experience providing speech therapy in a school-based setting
- Commitment to both professional standards and compassionate, student-centered care
- Ability to meet district credentialing, including drug screening and fingerprinting
Your daily experience will include:
- Delivering direct speech-language therapy services to students across one or more local schools (specific assignments and caseload details will be determined)
- Developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and collaborating with teachers, staff, and families
- Assessing and documenting student progress toward speech and language goals
- Maintaining compliance with all federal, state, and district guidelines, as well as recordkeeping standards
- Attending meetings, participating in school teams, and contributing to a supportive, collaborative educational environment
This position offers a consistent Monday through Friday schedule (35 hours per week, 7 hours per day plus a 30-minute unpaid lunch) in alignment with the school calendar. All candidates undergo internal prescreening prior to district presentation. Please note that any offer of employment is contingent upon school board contract renewal, set for decision in June 2026.
