School-Based Speech Language Pathologist - New Britain, Connecticut

Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
- Valid Connecticut SLP license (active status required)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) strongly encouraged; Clinical Fellows (CFs) also welcomed—district supervisor provided as bandwidth allows
- Previous experience in school-based settings required
- District-specific fingerprinting and background clearance mandatory
- Ability to split time between two elementary campuses if needed
- Familiarity with IEP processes and therapeutic documentation
- SLPAs will not be considered for this role
What You’ll Do:
- Manage a caseload of elementary students, delivering individualized and group therapy services
- Complete thorough assessments, develop and track IEP goals, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Communicate effectively with teachers, families, and administrators regarding student progress
- Participate in school meetings for student planning and outcomes
- Document services and maintain accurate records in compliance with district and legal requirements
