Qualifications & Preferred Background:
- Active Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
- Previous experience as a school-based SLP is highly desired
- Strong preference for candidates already holding an active North Carolina SLP license
- Proficiency in conducting assessments, developing and implementing IEPs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with students, staff, and parents
- Ability to work independently while fostering teamwork and collaboration
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy services to assigned caseload of approximately 43 students
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and participate in eligibility determination processes
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans and IEPs
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and parents to maximize student progress
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with district and state guidelines
- Participate in team meetings and provide consultative support as needed
This contract position spans the full academic year, running from August 10, 2026, to May 28, 2027, following a Monday through Friday schedule with 37.5 work hours each week.
