You’ll be assigned to one campus located either in Golden Gate City or Immokalee, working alongside dedicated staff to help students reach their full communication potential.
Your role will revolve around delivering direct speech and language therapy services and conducting essential evaluations. Collaboration with teachers, families, and administrators will be key as you tailor support to a diverse student caseload in a supportive school environment.
Desired qualifications and experience:
- Active Florida Department of Health SLP Licensure required
- School-based SLP experience is highly valued
- Availability for full-time or part-time hours (up to 7 hours per day/35 hours per week)
- Comfortable providing services for kindergarten through 12th grade
- Ability to work efficiently at a single school site
- Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills
- Completion of required fingerprinting; if previously completed in FL through the AHCA Clearinghouse, status may still be valid
- Willingness to apply for a JLA badge following clearance (can take up to 10 business days to issue)
Responsibilities will include:
- Delivering speech and language services to students (K-12)
- Conducting thorough assessments and evaluations as needed
- Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans
- Maintaining accurate and timely documentation
- Participating in IEP meetings and collaborating with educational teams
