Qualifications and Preferred Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
- Current Speech-Language Pathology license valid for Illinois
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Previous experience working with school-aged children or in educational settings preferred
- Strong knowledge of IEP procedures and compliance
- Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders in K-12 students
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to students’ needs
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and collaborate with educators, parents, and support staff to enhance student success
- Maintain accurate records, progress notes, and documentation in accordance with school and district policies
- Provide direct therapy services and consultative support as needed
- Contribute to IEP meetings and support the evaluation process for eligibility and ongoing services
