Required Experience & Credentials:
- Active Speech-Language Pathology license (Illinois)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Previous experience providing speech therapy in a school or educational environment preferred
- Ability to work efficiently with diverse student populations, teachers, and families
- Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
- Familiarity with IEP development and progress reporting
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans for students with speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders
- Deliver therapy sessions individually and in small groups, both in-person and virtually as needed
- Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and other related service providers to support student goals and integrate therapy within the classroom environment
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide detailed progress reports for parents and multidisciplinary teams
- Maintain accurate records and follow state/federal regulations for documentation and compliance
- Offer strategies and resources for teachers and caregivers to promote communication outside of therapy sessions
