Pediatric School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Mooresville, North Carolina
Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathologist within an inclusive school district environment. This contract position begins as soon as possible and continues through May 21st, 2025, with a full 37.5-hour workweek—making a substantial impact across multiple elementary schools and itinerant programs, including classrooms focused on Deaf and Hard of Hearing, Pre-K, and K–Middle School students.
You’ll use your expertise to conduct assessments, create individualized treatment plans, participate in IEP meetings, and deliver targeted therapy—both directly and through digital platforms as needed. Candidates at all experience levels are encouraged to apply, including those pursuing their Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY). There is potential for supervision responsibilities with SLPAs, and those with CCC credentials are welcomed. Training on the district’s IEP system is provided, and dedicated therapy spaces are available.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences (transcripts required prior to interviews)
- Valid state licensure/eligibility as an SLP; CCC or CFY status
- Experience working within pediatric or school-based settings preferred
- Competence with teletherapy solutions beneficial
- Ability to supervise SLPAs is a plus
- Strong organizational, collaboration, and communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a diverse student caseload across several elementary schools
- Provide evidence-based therapy, conduct evaluations, and document progress
- Participate actively with interdisciplinary teams in IEP development
- Some travel required between assigned locations; paid mileage included
- Attend compensated team meetings and complete indirect/admin hours
