Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist in Huntersville, NC

This contract position offers diverse experiences for Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP) with responsibilities across elementary schools, extension classrooms, and itinerant programs, including Pre-K and support for deaf and hard of hearing students. Starting as soon as possible through May 21st, 2025, you will work 37.5 hours per week across a dynamic set of school locations.
What we're looking for:
- Valid SLP license; ASHA CCC or strong candidates in CFY considered
- Experience with pediatric and school-based populations
- Familiarity with teletherapy and serving diverse caseloads
- Competency with IEP documentation and related software (training provided)
- Willingness to supervise an SLPA if needed
- Ability to work effectively across multiple school sites, including paid travel
- Required transcripts prior to interview
- Approachable, collaborative approach to team meetings and indirect services
In this role, you'll:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy to students in a variety of settings
- Conduct evaluations, develop and update IEPs, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Balance a well-defined caseload with administrative time for planning and team meetings
- Deliver services in dedicated spaces where available, with support and resources from the district
- Possibly supervise SLPA team members
- Participate in district training and team meetings, enhancing your impact and skills
You’ll be able to interview quickly and can expect a decision within 24-48 hours. Interviews will be conducted via Zoom. Candidates should be ready to provide their transcripts upon request, as this is a requirement prior to interviewing.
