Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid state certification for school-based Speech-Language Pathology is required
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field
- Current licensure in the state
- Previous experience working in a school environment is highly preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to adapt therapy approaches to meet diverse student needs
Role Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments, screenings, and evaluations for students with speech, language, or communication disorders
- Develop and implement IEPs (Individualized Education Programs)
- Deliver direct therapy services to students individually and in small groups
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and other school professionals to support student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the multidisciplinary team
- Stay current on best practices in the field and integrate innovative strategies into therapy
