Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathologist for the 2026/2027 school year near Minneapolis, MN. This position will begin at Justice Alan Page Elementary, initially covering a maternity leave, and transition to support additional needs across district buildings as the year unfolds. If no other leaves require coverage, you’ll provide essential compensatory services to students who previously missed support, making a direct impact on their academic progress and communication skills. This is a full-time role with 37.5 hours per week, giving you stability and a consistent schedule throughout the school year.
Qualifications:
- Valid Minnesota School Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Experience in school-based SLP roles (or strong clinical/school practicum performances)
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities
- Flexibility to move between school sites as needs evolve
- Strong commitment to supporting students’ growth and ensuring compliance with IEPs
Responsibilities:
- Provide assessment, diagnosis, and intervention services for students with speech and language needs
- Collaborate with teachers, special educators, and families to support student progress
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including IEP reports and service notes
- Adapt services and schedules as needed to accommodate changing building assignments and service demands
- Deliver compensatory services to students who missed sessions due to staff absences
- Participate in team meetings, provide consultation, and contribute to multidisciplinary planning
