Elementary Pediatric School Speech Language Pathologist - Midlothian, VA

As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you’ll collaborate with educators, families, and other specialists, making a meaningful difference in the lives of children from kindergarten through high school. This full-time contract position is available for the entire 2026–2027 school year, with flexible caseloads assigned based on your experience and preference. Work with diverse populations with needs ranging from moderate to profound, and help foster communication skills that are critical to academic and social success.
Ideal Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Valid state licensure (or eligibility) as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Experience with pediatric, early childhood, and elementary student populations
- Comfortable managing a varied caseload, including students with unique or intensive needs
- Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with staff, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent organizational and communication abilities
- Previous school-based experience preferred, but dedicated clinical SLPs are welcome to apply
- Open to both local professionals and travel SLPs looking for a rewarding new opportunity
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders among K–12 students
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to students’ goals
- Provide both direct and consultative services in classrooms and one-on-one sessions
- Document progress, monitor outcomes, and contribute to IEP meetings
- Educate families and staff on techniques to support student communication
- Maintain detailed, compliant records and ongoing communication with all stakeholders
