Pediatric School-Based Speech Language Pathologist - Middletown, Delaware

Make a meaningful impact by providing speech-language therapy to students in a supportive educational setting during the 2026-2027 school year. This contract opportunity is ideal for experienced Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP-CCC), those completing their Clinical Fellowship (SLP-CFY), or therapists passionate about pediatric and school-based care, including teletherapy. You'll work approximately 15-18 hours each week, from 7:30am to 3:00pm, at one school site, managing a diverse and well-defined caseload of 17-24 students.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid SLP license (DE) and ASHA certification (CCC) or eligibility
- Experience in school settings, pediatric therapy, and/or healthcare highly valued
- Clinical Fellows (CFY) warmly encouraged to apply
- Strong skills in group and individual therapy, IEP goal writing, and progress monitoring
- Experience with teletherapy a plus
- Familiarity with IEP systems; training will be provided if needed
- Excellent communication, organization, and team collaboration skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver mostly group, plus some individual and consult-based, speech-language services
- Attend IEP meetings and collaborate with educators and families
- Write and monitor progress toward IEP goals
- Consult and provide indirect services in line with student needs (including approximately 90 minutes monthly)
- Manage a balanced caseload using the district’s model, supporting between 17-24 students with a variety of service frequencies
- Maintain accurate documentation, ensuring compliance with district policies
You’ll benefit from a structured schedule, a clearly defined caseload, and a collaborative school environment. Training on required IEP systems and documentation procedures is provided, and you’ll have a dedicated therapy space at your assigned school. Supervision for CFYs is available through the district.
