Make a difference in students’ lives by supporting their communication and learning as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a rewarding school contract role. This full-time position offers a fulfilling opportunity to work onsite in a collaborative educational environment alongside dedicated professionals. The assignment begins as soon as possible and continues through November 30th.
Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy services to elementary students, focusing on communication development and supporting academic success
- Manage a caseload of 50-60 students with diverse needs
- Complete assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and track student progress
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to create a supportive atmosphere for student growth
- Maintain detailed documentation in compliance with school and district policies
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to Individualized Education Plan (IEP) development
- Foster a welcoming and nurturing learning environment for all students
Preferred Experience and Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology (or equivalent)
- Valid Louisiana SLP license or eligibility
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP), Clinical Fellow (CF), or SLPA considered
- Experience working with school-aged children preferred
- Ability to work effectively in a team setting and communicate clearly
- Strong organizational skills and adaptability
