Speech Language Pathologist in Meriden, CT
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting elementary students as an onsite Speech-Language Pathologist in a vibrant Connecticut community. This full-time role offers a consistent 35-hour work week, extending through June 11, 2027, and involves serving inspiring young learners across two engaged school sites.
Ideal candidates possess strong expertise in school settings, with a focus on collaborative, student-centered care. If you hold your CCCs, your leadership in communication disorders is highly valued. Candidates completing their CF year are welcomed, with provided supervision where district bandwidth allows. Please note, this role does not accept SLPAs, and prior school-based experience is a must.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active and current Connecticut SLP license
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) strongly preferred; CFs considered with supervisor provided
- At least one year of school-based SLP experience
- Ability to split schedule between two school sites
- Must complete required district fingerprinting and background check
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver diagnostic and therapeutic SLP services to elementary students
- Manage and prioritize a diverse caseload across two supportive school environments
- Collaborate with general and special educators, as well as families, to optimize student outcomes
- Maintain thorough documentation and adhere to IEP-related compliance
- Participate in virtual interviews via Zoom
