Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Media, PA
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity for an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist to provide on-site support for middle and high school students for the 2026-2027 academic year. This full-time, 35-hour-per-week assignment begins in late August and continues until mid-June. As part of a diverse educational environment, you’ll serve students with a range of speech and language needs, focusing on providing quality care and support during traditional school hours.
What you bring:
- Active Pennsylvania licensure and completion of all required state clearances
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
- Prior experience as a school-based SLP, specifically with middle and/or high school caseloads
- Prior experience in an urban educational setting
- Reliable transportation for daily on-site attendance
- Ability and commitment to work between 7:15 AM – 4:00 PM
- Comfortable collaborating within a district team and adapting to a school environment
- Proficiency with general SLP duties in a school setting, including assessments and documentation
- Willingness to undergo a Zoom interview as part of the application process
Your responsibilities:
- Deliver in-person speech and language therapy services to students with diverse needs
- Conduct thorough assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student progress
- Complete all required documentation and maintain confidential records
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to team decision-making
- Serve as a knowledgeable resource regarding communication disorders
