Pediatric ESY Speech-Language Pathologist in Manchester, CT
Step into a rewarding role this summer providing speech-language services to students in an engaging, supportive environment. This contract opportunity runs from July 6 through July 30, working Monday through Thursday, 8:15 am to 1:45 pm. With 22 hours per week across two schools, you will work exclusively on-site supporting the Extended School Year (ESY) program.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA
- Relevant state licensure for SLP practice
- Experience in pediatric and school-based settings
- Familiarity with ESY programs and individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Your Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct therapy to students with a variety of communication needs in K-12
- Assess, document, and monitor student progress toward IEP goals
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, families, and other related service providers
- Adapt session activities to suit individual student requirements
- Participate in team meetings as necessary, providing input on student care
- Manage caseload efficiently between two nearby schools
