Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and compassionate professional to support speech-language services within Prince William County schools for the 2026–2027 school year. This full-time, school-based position offers the opportunity to work directly with students under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist, helping students develop essential communication skills for academic and social success.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in implementing speech-language therapy programs designed by the supervising SLP
  • Provide support services to students with communication disorders
  • Document student progress and maintain accurate records
  • Prepare therapy materials and activities
  • Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and related service providers
  • Support student participation and communication across educational settings

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Sciences and Disorders, Speech and Hearing Sciences, or a closely related Communication Disorders field
  • Experience working with children in educational or therapeutic settings preferred
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team

Important Virginia Requirement

Virginia does not currently offer an SLPA license. Candidates must possess a degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Sciences and Disorders, or a related communication disorders field to be considered for this position.
