Speech Language Pathologist in Aylett, VA

Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
- Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an SLP
- Previous experience in a school setting, particularly with elementary-aged children, is preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to develop and implement effective therapy plans tailored to individual student needs
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services to elementary students, focusing on individualized education program (IEP) goals
- Assess and document student progress, maintaining accurate and timely records
- Collaborate closely with teachers, special education staff, and families to support student success
- Conduct evaluations and contribute to the development of IEPs for students on your caseload
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide professional recommendations
- Guide classroom staff in reinforcing communication strategies throughout the day
