Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Active or eligible Virginia SLP license
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred, but strong CFY candidates will be considered
- Experience working with school-aged children, preferably in an educational setting
- Solid understanding of IEP development, educational assessments, and progress monitoring
- Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessments for students across various grade levels
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in alignment with IEP goals
- Provide direct therapy, both individual and group, targeting articulation, language, fluency, voice, and social communication
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success and facilitate carryover of strategies in the classroom
- Maintain accurate documentation of evaluations, therapy sessions, and ongoing progress
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of educational strategies
