Requirements and Desired Skills:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Current state licensure (or eligibility) in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred, but Clinical Fellows considered
  • Experience or interest in working within a high school setting
  • Familiarity with providing push-in therapeutic services in academic environments
  • Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork abilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and develop individualized plans to address student speech, language, and communication needs
  • Deliver direct speech-language therapy utilizing push-in models to support students within classroom settings
  • Collaborate with teachers and other school professionals to integrate strategies into the general education curriculum
  • Document student progress and participate in IEP meetings to discuss recommendations and goals
  • Offer guidance and resources to caregivers and educational teams for consistent support
  • Stay updated with best practices and continuing education in school-based speech-language pathology
