Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid Illinois State License (IDFPR) and ISBE PEL with a Speech-Language endorsement
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) preferred; CF-SLPs encouraged to apply
- Previous experience in school settings ideal, but not required for first-year SLPs
- Comfortable managing either elementary or early childhood caseloads
- Strong collaboration, communication, and organizational skills
Role Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and evaluations of students’ speech and language needs
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with educators and families
- Deliver evidence-based speech and language therapy services
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with state and federal guidelines
- Serve as a resource for teachers, support staff, and families on speech and language development
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to school-wide support initiatives
- Foster a positive, inclusive atmosphere that promotes student progress
