What you'll need to thrive in this role:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology (from an accredited program)
- Current or eligible CA state SLP licensure
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred or eligibility for Clinical Fellow supervision
- Prior experience in school settings highly valued
- Strong communication, organization, and empathy skills
- Ability to adapt to diverse student needs and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting assessments and diagnosing speech, language, and communication disorders
- Developing and implementing individualized education program (IEP) goals
- Delivering direct therapy sessions for students across a variety of ages and backgrounds
- Consulting and collaborating with teachers, parents, and support staff to foster student progress
- Maintaining accurate documentation and compliance with school and federal guidelines
- Participating in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary problem-solving
