This contract position supports students from Transitional Kindergarten through 8th grade, providing vital speech and language services to a caseload of approximately 50 students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for students TK-8
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to support student communication goals
- Provide direct speech-language therapy services five days per week, totaling 35 hours
- Monitor and document student progress throughout the academic year
Qualifications:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathologist certification (SLP, SLP-CCC, SLP-CFY, or SLP-School credential)
- Experience working in a school setting with TK-8 age groups
- Strong knowledge of speech and language disorders and effective therapy techniques
- Ability to manage a caseload of approximately 50 students efficiently
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Assignment Details:
- Location: Los Angeles, CA
- Contract start date: As soon as possible
- Contract end date: Last day of the school year, June 3, 2026
- Potential to continue for the following school year beginning August 17, 2026
- Work schedule: Monday through Friday, 35 hours per week
