A Contract Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available in an elementary school setting in Los Angeles, CA, serving students from transitional kindergarten through eighth grade. This role offers an opportunity to support a diverse student population, managing a caseload of approximately 50 students, with services delivered five days a week for a total of 35 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language assessments and develop individualized education plans (IEPs) for students
- Provide direct speech therapy services to students with communication disorders across the TK-8 spectrum
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student progress and inclusion
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with school policies and state regulations
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute professional expertise to multidisciplinary teams
Qualifications:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathology Certification of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC) or Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (SLP-CFY)
- School-based speech pathology experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of speech-language development and disorders in school-aged children
- Ability to manage a caseload of up to 50 students effectively
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills suited for a school environment
