Make a meaningful impact supporting PreK-8th grade students through specialized speech-language pathology services. This contract position offers a blend of virtual responsibilities with in-person assessments, focusing on students with diverse communication, behavioral, and developmental needs. You'll collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to enhance educational access for children requiring AAC and those showing signs of autism, nonverbal communication, or severe behaviors. You'll work across 1-2 school sites, primarily providing both push-in and pull-out services and utilizing SEIS for documentation and billing.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Active SLP-CCC and California SLP licensure (no waivers accepted)
  • Demonstrated success in elementary school settings
  • Experience with PreK through 8th-grade students
  • Knowledge of AAC devices, interventions, and strategies
  • Comfortable working virtually with the ability to conduct in-person assessments as required
  • Proficient in SEIS for documentation and case management
  • Familiarity with Autism Spectrum Disorder, nonverbal populations, and challenging behaviors
  • Strong collaboration, communication, and adaptability skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide assessment, diagnosis, and direct intervention services for speech/language disorders
  • Implement and monitor AAC interventions
  • Conduct both virtual therapy sessions and required on-site assessments
  • Design IEP goals, track progress, and maintain documentation using SEIS
  • Deliver individualized and group services through push-in and pull-out models
  • Support students and staff with strategies to address communication and behavioral needs
  • Travel to 1-2 designated school locations when in-person presence is necessary
