School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Long Beach, California
Make a meaningful impact on young learners by providing speech-language services across up to three elementary schools in the area. This contract opportunity offers a balanced schedule—one site per day—with a manageable caseload of 50 to 60 students, ensuring both variety and continuity in your week. As an SLP with a CTC, you’ll bring specialized expertise to help students achieve their communication goals, all while collaborating closely with on-site SLPAs for additional support.
Qualifications:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) license
- Clinical Certificate of Competence (CCC) required
- CTC credential necessary for school-based practice
- Previous experience in an elementary school setting preferred
- Strong collaboration and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language therapy to students in up to three elementary schools (one assigned per day)
- Assess, diagnose, and develop individualized programs based on each student’s needs
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation to support students’ progress and compliance
- Offer guidance and supervision to SLPAs as needed, fostering effective team-based intervention
- Participate actively in IEP meetings, collaborating with teachers, families, and support staff
- Communicate progress clearly to parents and educational stakeholders
