Key Qualifications:
- Current Speech-Language Pathology license (CCC required)
- Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting
- Familiarity with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices and early childhood intervention
- Ability to collaborate with another SLP and share caseload responsibilities
- Strong communication skills with young children and school staff
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy services to a caseload primarily consisting of early childhood/Pre-K students
- Assess and implement individualized education plans (IEPs), focusing on students’ unique needs, especially those using AAC devices
- Coordinate closely with the current MAT leave SLP to ensure continuity of care and effective workload distribution
- Maintain thorough records and contribute to ongoing communications with families and staff
- Provide high-quality service either in-person at the elementary school or virtually, according to candidate preference
