Qualifications:
- Active SLPA certification/licensure required
- Relevant and recent experience in a school setting
- Experience working directly with moderate to severe caseloads at the elementary level
- Effective communication skills with students, staff, and families
- Ability to collaborate with supervising speech-language pathologist and educational team
Responsibilities:
- Implement therapy plans developed by the supervising SLP to address students’ individualized goals
- Support elementary-aged students with moderate to severe communication disorders
- Maintain accurate records of sessions and progress
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute observations as needed
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and other specialists to enhance student progress
- Adapt activities and materials to meet the needs of each student
